ICC T20 World Cup schedule 2022 has been released. The event will begin on October 16. Sri Lanka and Namibia will play the first match of Round 1. November 16 will be the date of the tournament’s final
Australia will play New Zealand in their first match as hosts and defending champions. Defeating New Zealand in the final of 2021, Australia won the title. Meanwhile, two-time champions West Indies will begin their campaign from the qualifying stage (Round 1). This time, the West Indies team did not make it to the Super 12.
India will play its first match against Pakistan in Melbourne on October 23. India won the first T20 World title in the year 2007. Last year, Pakistan defeated India for the first time in the history of the World Cup.

ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2022 VENUE
ICC has shortlisted seven Australian cities to host the marquee men’s T20 Cricket world cup next year. It is expected that all of these cities will host the matches. However, it depends on the Covid situation at the time. These are the cities:
A total of 45 matches will be played in seven cities in Australia during the T20 World Cup 2022, as announced by the ICC on 16th November 2021. Among these 7 cities are
Melbourne, Sydney, Geelong, Hobart, Brisbane, Adelaide & Perth.
In accordance with the ICC media release, 7 venues will host the T20 World Cup 2022 matches: the MCG, Sydney Cricket Ground, Kardinia Park Stadium, The Gabba, Adelaide Oval, Bellerive Oval, and Perth Stadium.

In 2022, the semifinals will take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground and Adelaide Oval on the 9th and 10th of November and the final will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on the 13th.
